This is a rare prayer rug (Seccade / Namazlık) featuring a classic mihrab design, beautifully decorated with a hanging lamp (kandil) motif at the center of the mihrab — a deeply symbolic and elegant element in traditional Anatolian weaving.The rug has a rich red field, complemented by deep navy spandrels and a navy blue border, creating a striking and timeless contrast.As expected from an authentic vintage prayer rug, there is more visible wear in the areas where the feet and knees would have touched the rug during prayer.
